Carbon fabrics are categorized according to their application for different manufacturing technologies.
For carbon skinning on details or making new ones with a beautiful cosmetic finish most used is carbon fabric 240 gr/m2, as the knit is the classic diagonal (twill) weave, which gives the products the desired look. For layering of multilayer details usually applied is 600 gr/m2 carbon fabric, as it provides great strength and load-bearing strength in the products. The use of epoxy resin is recommended in the manufacture of carbon fabric products.
Kevlar and Carbon-Kevlar are often used for the inner layer due to their strength and impact resistance.
